Take the 2 Minute BPH Symptom Assessment

What is the I-PSS assessment?

The International Prostate Symptom Score (I-PSS) is the same validated, standardized questionnaire urologists use worldwide to evaluate BPH symptoms — identical to the American Urological Association (AUA) Symptom Index. It asks seven questions about urinary symptoms, scored 0–35, plus one question about quality of life. A score of 7 or below is generally considered mild, 8–19 moderate, and 20–35 severe.

An enlarged prostate develops gradually, which makes it easy to adjust to symptoms — waking up more at night, a weaker stream, feeling like you never fully empty your bladder — without realizing how much they’ve changed. Taking the official I-PSS gives you a clearer, objective picture before you come in, and gives our team better context on how to help.

Your score isn’t a diagnosis — it’s a starting point. Depending on your results, our team may recommend anything from watchful waiting to same-week evaluation for treatments like Rezūm or PAE. If you’d like to understand those options first, see how they compare side by side.
